If you entered this article with a head of steam thinking that Sydney’s sauciest restaurant had just opened, you’re not wrong. To clarify, we meant bottomless as in the unlimited number of chicken wings you can consume with droolworthy sauces. Sorry if you had any other ideas.

To chicken, beer and good times

Friends bond over the simplest of pleasures. Having a drink with good spirit (pun intended) whilst conquering a bucketload of fried chicken made two particular mates quite happy. So, they created Wingboy to make others happy too.

We were beyond happy to discover that on Wednesdays, everyone is welcome to eat as many wings and fries as they can for a clucking $30 (with 90 minutes of dining time). If you’re really hungry, you can enjoy unlimited wings for 2 hours. For $70, this is also accompanied by drinks, fries and slaw. Clucking irresistable, right?

Buffalo, gochujang, peri peri and 9 more sauces

The kitchen serves a simple menu with plenty of attitude. Depending on which of the 12 house-made sauces you pick, your chicken wings fly you away to blissful appreciation. On the sweet and savoury side, there is the Smokey BBQ topped with fresh shallots and served with ranch sauce. On an Asian-inspired side, there is the Korean Gochujang with sesame seeds and kewpie mayo. On the adventurous side, there is the Asskickin’ with flavouring that may leave you bringing your pillow to the toilet.

Neon-lit energy to start your night

The interior of Wingboy, with its corrugated tin walls and glowing signage, gave us the feeling of being in an American country diner. We enjoyed the atmosphere inside, with people chatting animately and drinks flowing freely. In addition to tap and tinned beer, there are wines and cocktails on offer.

The fries come in shoe-string, waffle and sweet potato forms, with delicious loadings of sauces including Louisiana, Portuguese and Buffalo. For the camera, we would recommend the waffle fries.

Delivery with Wingboy X

To cater for everyone, all wings are available as Boneless Tenders, or the vegan-friendly Cauliflower Wings. For residents in Darling Square, Eastgardens, Macquarie and Parramatta, delivery through Wingboy X is available.
